AN Avon and Somerset police officer is alleged to have made a false report in connection with a domestic incident she attended.
PC Tamsin Devlin faces a misconduct hearing at the force's HQ in Portishead next Monday (February 5).
She is accused of failing to take "positive action" when sent to the incident in February last year, as required by Avon and Somerset and National College of Policing policy.
In addition, it is alleged that PC Devlin made a false statement to a colleague that no offence had been committed, then allowed that colleague to submit a formal report with incorrect information.
The hearing will also be told that she made a false report during a radio transmission following attendance at the incident.
It will be claimed that PC Devlin breached the following standards of professional behaviour - honesty and integrity; orders and instructions; duties and responsibilities; and discreditable conduct.
If proven, she will have been considered to have been guilty of gross misconduct.
