A CAR was a complete write off after it caught fire on the M5 between Taunton and Bridgwater.
Crews from Taunton Fire Station were called to the incident on the hard shoulder of the motorway between the county town at Junction 25 and the North Petherton turn off (Junction 24).
Two lanes of the M5 were sealed off while firefighters extinguished the fire.
Taunton Fire Station later posted images of the incident on Friday (February 2) n Facebook.
A spokesperson said: "White Watch and on call firefighters responded to a car fire on the hard shoulder of the M5 between junctions 25 and 24 northbound.
"The Incident Commander shut two lanes of the motorway to provide safety to the crews on scene.
"The fire was extinguished using one breathing apparatus wearer, one hose-reel jet and thermal image camera."
