RESIDENTS in Ruishton, Thornfalcon and Henlade are voting in a referendum to see whether or not they support a neighbourhood plan for their community
The vote is being held in Creech St Michael Village Hall on Thursday (February 8).
The Ruishton and Thornfalcon Neighbourhood Plan sets out a local vision for the future and planning policies.
If it is adopted, it will be used to determine planning applications within the parishes.
It has been prepared by the parish council working with a steering group along with the help of a project team and has been developed by people who live or live within the parishes.
An independent examiner who reviewed the plan said: "The vision statement is supported by five objectives covering community, housing, traffic and transport, environment and heritage and economy and employment.
"All are articulated well, relate to the development and use of land and will help to deliver the vision."
