A TAUNTON motorist has been banned from driving after being spotted behind the wheel of a vehicle without insurance.
Lillie Selina Bevan, 36, of Eastbourne Gate, committed the offence in Station Road on May 11 last year, Taunton Magistrates' Court was told.
She had pleaded guilty at a previous court hearing.
Magistrates fined Bevan £120 and ordered her to pay a £48 victim surcharge and a contribution of £45 towards costs.
She was then handed six penalty points on her licence, leading to a six-month driving ban "due to repeat offending".
She received no separate penalty for driving a vehicle without an MOT certificate.
Bevan must pay her total court bill of £213 at the rate of £20 a month starting on February 23.
