TRAFFIC will be prohibited from using a 457-metre stretch of road in Taunton 24 hours a day for a total of 47 days.
An order will prevent vehicle being driven along Lipe Hill Lane from the junction with Queensway to the junction with Higher Comeytrowe Farm Lane; and Queensway from the junction with Lipe Hill Lane eastwards for a distance of 27 metres.
The order will enable GTC Express Utilities to instal a new gas main and lay connections to a new build development.
Work is expected to commence on Monday, February 26 and last until April 12, during which time the traffic ban will be in place.
