FIRE crews rushed to a garage in Glastonbury yesterday after receiving a report of a motorbike on fire (Monday, February 26).

After receiving a call at around 2.30pm, crews from the Wells Fire Station attended the scene.

On arrival, they found one motorbike well alight. 

A Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Upon attendance of our Crews, it was confirmed that one motorbike was well alight within a detached garage constructed of concrete block and metal roofing sheets. 

"Crews extinguished the fire with two breathing apparatus, one thermal imaging camera, one hose reel attack jet and one safety jet."

The case was closed at around 3pm yesterday.

The fire service has confirmed that the cause of the fire is believed to have been "accidental".
