A NEW, Taunton-based company has recently joined the campervan conversion market.

Ray Robson, owner of Ray-Van, who set up his business on Galmington Trading Estate, started by buying in and converting his own vans, which he then went on to sell online.

Somerset County Gazette:

However, when Ray started to get friends, and friends of friends, asking if he was willing to convert their own vans, he realised there was still plenty of room in the market to diversify the business – and this is how Ray-Van was born.

Ray has honed his craft by converting Renault Traffic, Vauxhall Vivaro, and Nissan Primastar vans as he believes these vans provide a smart, practical, and cost-effective option for those who long for the freedom a campervan can provide without costing them as much as some of the other well-known camper brands.

Somerset County Gazette:

However, he is not set on these makes and models alone and is happy to talk to new customers about any van they may be hoping to have converted.

Ray is happy to work with customers wherever they are in their campervan journey.

You may already have the van waiting on your drive or you may be at the research stage, where Ray is happy to offer help and advice on the things to consider before you buy.

In most cases, a conversion will take two to three weeks from the date he starts work, so you could be enjoying this spring and summer, visiting a multitude of beautiful places in the UK and beyond if you contact Ray this side of Easter.
