Residents at Nynehead Court have been building bird boxes to celebrate National Nest Box Week.
The retirement home’s annual participation in the event, organised by the British Trust for Ornithology from February 14 to 21, coincides with the bird breeding season.
The nest boxes have been constructed for the home's 13 acres of parkland, which have now been installed by the team of gardeners.
Joanne Fenn, the home manager, said: "Our residents love watching the birds and other wildlife in our grounds, and have wonderful views of these from our drawing room or their bedrooms.
"We have hung treats alongside the nest boxes to attract the birds, and can't wait to see them arrive."
Nynehead Court, set in 18 acres of parkland, provide residential care for 44 individuals and provides close care housing for up to 11 retirees or couples in the Mews.
The home's Mulberry Wing caters for residents suffering from memory impairment or needing constant mental stimulation with an enhanced staff to resident ratio.
On the other end, the 11 close care Mews houses offer independent living with access to comprehensive care, support, and security.
