It is party time for a leading Somerset vet who has passed an exam that has seen him reach the top tier of his industry.

Dr David Haine, head of surgery at Linnaeus-owned Cave Veterinary Specialists near Wellington, is toasting success after passing the thorough ECVS diploma exams to become an EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.

This completes his journey from graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2013, four-year practice in small animal general practice, to specialisation at DWR Veterinary Specialists in Cambridgeshire before returning home to the South West.
