The National Trust is hosting more than 40 Easter trails across the south west over the bank holiday weekend.

Perfect for a family outing, each trail offers a variety of outdoor activities and all of them are unique.

From nature-inspired crafts and egg and spoon races to den-building, seed planting, welly wanging, and more, there's plenty to explore.

The trails will take visitors on a spring journey through mazes and meadows, kitchen gardens and orchards, parkland and woodland, allowing them to embrace the signs of spring.

Each trail is planned with families in mind, featuring a diverse range of activity stations.

There will be blooming daffodils, lambs and the sounds of spring birdsong.

Each trail will also include a chocolate egg or a UK made vegan 'Free-From' chocolate egg, crafted from cocoa sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

The cost for the Easter egg trails is £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission, with free entry for members.

There are 13 different trails planned for Devon, and nine in Somerset, Bristol and Bath, with trails also in Dorset, Cornwall, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.
