TWO local school girls shone in the Rotary District 12,00 Young Chef Finals.
Held at King Alfred School - An Academy, Highbridge on February 24, Sapphire Haddon from Minehead Middle School and Katrina Nightingale from Kingsmead School competed against five other students from Somerset & Dorset.
Judged by chefs Peter Goodship and Max Coles, Katrina placed second, losing only to Poppy Mackay of King Alfred School.

Both Poppy and Katrina advance to the regional finals in Cardiff on March 23.
Rotary Club organises annual competitions to encourage young people to excel in skills, such as cooking.
These competitions provide a unique platform for our youth to display their talents and be recognised for their special skills.
