AN A-road in Somerset has been closed since the early hours of this morning after a single-vehicle collision took place.
The A39 Station Road in Carhampton is closed between Dunster Steep and the B3190 following a major collision at around 3:30am this morning.
Police, fire, and ambulance services attended the incident, which saw a woman sent to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Her family have been made aware of the incident.
The road will remain shut until the vehicle has been recovered - traffic monitoring service Inrix reported 'delays are likely'.
Somerset Council's live road map shows the incident took place near to the junction with Winsors Lane.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the area and have sent through traffic and lorries on an alternative route.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The A39 Station Rd remains closed between Dunster Steep & the B3190 pending recovery of the vehicle.
"Motorists should avoid the area.
"Through traffic & HGVs should divert via the A358, A38 & A396.
"Anyone with info about the collision is asked to call 101 ref 5224067710."
