A MAN has been charged with dwelling burglary and the theft of a car following an overnight break-in near Wells earlier this year.
The charge comes after thieves gained entry to a house in Wookey, during the early hours of Thursday, February 22.
While the household was asleep, the burglars took car keys in order to steal a black Land Rover Discovery, registration KN68 XJM. The vehicle has not been recovered.

Anthony Rodriguez-Taylor, 24, from Sea Mills, Bristol, appeared at South Somerset Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 3, and was remanded in custody pending a further appearance at Taunton Crown Court on Tuesday, May 7.
The incident took place just weeks after two cars were stolen in another overnight break-in, in Wells.
A 2019 Ford Ranger and a 2017 Suzuki Baleno were both taken from a property on Clements Close, in the early hours of the morning of Sunday, February 4.
