THERE will be some delays to waste collections in Somerset due to staff sickness today (Monday, April 8).
Crews are returning today for collections missed on Saturday in the Taunton and Wellington areas.
However, crews will be unable to collect in parts of Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea, and Puriton.
Crews will return to these areas tomorrow. Residents are reminded to leave their boxes and bags by the kerbside.
A spokesperson from the Somerset Council Waste Services team said: "We're sorry, due to staff sickness there have been delays to some recycling collections.
"Crews will return today for collections missed on Saturday in the Taunton and Wellington areas.
"Crews will be unable to collect waste in parts of:
• Burnham-on-Sea;
• Highbridge;
• Puriton.
"Crews will return tomorrow, (Tuesday, April 9) please leave your boxes and bags by the kerbside."
