A TAUNTON driver said a car diving down the wrong side of the road towards him at a roundabout could have caused a head-on collision.
A motorist shared a dashcam footage showing a car being driven the wrong side of the road on Priorswood Road.
The driver said: “I think they were impatient as there was a large queue behind him so he was probably stuck in it for a while, but I can’t believe they did that and then carried on after driving down the wrong side of the road potentially towards traffic coming off the roundabout.
“If I had been turning right into the industrial estate it would have been a head-on collision at 30-40mph.”
The incident, which happened on Saturday, April 6, was reported to the police.
The force said the will review the footage.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We can confirm we’ve received footage from a member of the public relating to an alleged driving offence committed on the A3259 Priorswood Road, Taunton, on Saturday 6 April.
“This footage will be reviewed, as is normal procedure.”
