POLICE divers have carried out searches in the River Tone in Taunton as part of the force’s enquiries into the death of a man in Ruishton in February.
Divers were seen at the River Tone near Taunton town centre on Thursday last week (April 11).
Avon and Somerset Police said divers were on the scene for pre-planned searches which were part of their enquiries into the death of Jordan Simcock.
A police spokesperson said: “Pre-planned searches were carried out on Thursday afternoon close to the River Tone in Taunton.
“These searches are part of our ongoing enquiries into the death of Jordan Simcock at an address in Ruishton in February.
“One person has been charged with his murder and is on remand ahead of appearing in court next month.”
