THE owners of two Somerset holiday lets are celebrating after being recognised in an international awards scheme for achieving perfect feedback scores.

South Barrow's Old Farm Stables is owned by Nicola and Chris Kisielewski.

The pair purchased the one-bedroom holiday let in 2017, before they completely renovated the Grade II listed building.

The dog friendly property is praised by guests for its cleanliness and the amount of things to do nearby.

The Sykes Stars programme was designed to reward those that go above and beyond for their guests.

Speaking about how it feels to be recognised, Nicola said: “Chris and I were over the moon to be named Sykes Stars as we always go the extra mile to help our guests make amazing memories with us.

"Holidaymakers have high standards – and rightly so – so it’s great to be recognised for meeting and exceeding these!”

Hoglets, in Exford, was also one of the 32 holiday lets to be awarded with a Sykes Star.

Owners Rebecca and Marvin Butchers have been renting the three-bedroom cottage with Sykes since July 2021.

Rebecca said: “We take every opportunity to make Hoglets a memorable and homely place for our guests to stay, even down to the hedgehog biscuits in our welcome baskets which we know have gone down a treat in the past.

"To say we were chuffed to bits when we received this award would be an understatement!”

Bev Dumbleton, chief operating officer at Sykes Holiday Cottages, added: “We love to showcase the incredible mix of holiday lets available in the UK and those that feature on our Sykes Stars are some of the very best.

“We know just how committed owners like Nicola, Chris, Rebecca and Marvin are to providing fantastic breaks for their guests and it’s great to be able to recognise this.

“Our winners make an invaluable contribution to the UK holiday let market and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in the future, especially as Somerset continues to be a thriving staycation hotspot.”
