A HISTORIC village pub located in the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is looking for new operators.

The Plough Inn, in Holford, near Bridgwater, is on the market and available for rent, with a guide rent of £528 per week.

The pub, which dates back to around 1555, is located on the A39, experiencing passing trade all year round, but is also cemented as a favourite among locals to the village.

Stonegate Group, who own the pub, say the entirety of the building is in 'excellent order'.

Inside, it features three trading areas which consist of a locals' bar, a dining area and a recently added orangery that seats 35 people.

Exposed beams, wooden seating and an open fireplace in the diner give the pub a warm and welcoming feel.

There is also a well-equipped commercial kitchen, and an enjoyed courtyard-style beer garden.

It also features owners' accommodation with three bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen and living room, and a master bedroom which has a large shower room.

Stonegate's regional manager for the south west said: "The current publicans will leave a strong legacy for you to build on.

"This is a beautiful pub set in an amazing part of the south west.

"There is plenty to do locally when you get some down time and the wider residential area really value this pub as a hub of their community gatherings."
