AN AREA of Taunton town centre will be closed for one night at the end of the month due to gas works.
A temporary road closure affecting Bridge Street, The Bridge, and North Street will be in place from 7pm on Tuesday, April 30, to 6am on Wednesday, May 1.
A spokesperson for Taunton Town Council said: “We have received notification of a temporary road closure affecting Bridge Street, The Bridge and North Street, Taunton.
“The works are expected to commence on Tuesday, 30 April 2024, and last for one night (7pm-6am).
“The closure will enable Walton Civil Engineering Ltd. to carry out works on behalf of Wales and West Utilities.
“The contractor has indicated that access for emergency services through the site is not permitted on this occasion.”
