Seaton resident Betty Bendeaux celebrates her 100th birthday in The Talbot Arms, Uplyme.
Betty welcomed her centenary with her children Mike and Terry, her 4 grandchildren Lucy, Katie, Mark and Antony and her 8 great-grandchildren Taya, Finlay, Harrison, Amelia, Freddie, Max, Archie and Adam.
Afterwards, Betty headed back to Seaton where she still lives in the house in which she was born 100 years ago. After attending Seaton Primary School and Colyton Grammar School Betty worked for the Accountants, Lentells (a route also followed by her son!).
She was in the WRNS when she met her RAF husband., Bob. The family was posted to Egypt and Cyprus for a couple of years in the 1950's. Bob unfortunately passed away in 1988.
