OFFICERS from the Mendip police beat team seized knives and a knuckle duster over the "very busy" weekend.
Officers also stopped a car with no insurance, stop searched three people and more.
Speaking on Sunday (May 19), a Mendip Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "The Mendip West beat team have had a very busy weekend! Some of the things that we have done over the weekend include:-
- "Stopped a car for no insurance and this is being dealt with via police powers;
- "Stopped searched three people in the street, two of the stop searches had positive outcomes and the people are being dealt with;
- "A car was seized for no tax and reported to the DVLA;
- "Two traffic offense reports (Tickets) were issued to vehicles that were parked on the pavement;
- "Two knives and a knuckle duster have been seized and destruction have been arranged;
- "The beat team attended some community events in Glastonbury and Street."
