WINCANTON police have launched an appeal after a lamb's head was decapitated and its body was thrown into a ditch near Queen Camel and Marston Magna.
The incident is believed to have happened on Monday (May 20) between the hours of 00am and 10am.

A South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "Wincanton rural neighbourhood team have attended an incident where a lamb’s head has been decapitated and body thrown into a ditch.
"This event has happened near Queen Camel and Marston Magna. We are raising this post in hope that we can get some more information from locals in the area for similar incidences that may have occurred.
"This incident happened between 20/05/2024 00:00am and 20/05/2024 10:00am.
"Please use reference 5224129244 when recording on 101 if you have any information."
