POLICE enquiries into theft and affray are ongoing after officers attended reports of anti-social behaviour in a pub in Taunton on three separate occasions on the same night.
Officers attended The Racehorse Inn on East Reach on Saturday, June 8 to deal with reports of anti-social behaviour and disorder.
At around 11.15pm officers asked the management of the venue to shut down the event.
They then supported them with closing the pub.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “On Saturday, June 8, officers attended The Racehorse Inn on East Reach, Taunton, on three separate occasions to deal with reports of anti-social behaviour and disorder.
“On the second occasion, at around 11.15pm, officers asked the management of the venue to shut down the event that was taking place, which was due to run until 2.30am.
“They then returned to the pub at 11.40pm to support the management with closing the pub and to ensure there were no further incidents.
“Enquiries into a theft and an affray are ongoing.”
