POLICE have issued a notice to leave to an unauthorised encampment at a school in Taunton.
Officers worked with Somerset Council after reports of “significant disruption and trespassing” and the group left Pyrland School earlier this afternoon.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Due to significant disruption and trespassing, this morning we issued a notice to leave to the unauthorised encampment at Pyrland School in Taunton, using our powers under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.
“Officers have worked closely with Somerset Council and engaged with the group which left the site earlier this afternoon.”
