A GROUP of ladies from a military wives choir joined Somerset Armed Forces Day in Taunton last weekend.
25 ladies from the Taunton Military Wives Choir, joined by a few ladies from Yeovilton Military Wives Choir, performed two sets throughout the day to a large crowd who showed a huge support for the military wives.
A spokesperson said: “Our choir members had a super day chatting to many veterans, military families, and public showing their support for women in our military community, it was a perfect day for listening to familiar music in the sunshine.”
The event took place at Vivary Park in Taunton on Saturday, July 6.
The free event also saw a flypast from the Red Arrows between 1.15pm and 1.45pm.
Stallholders from all over the county have set up their pitches and there was food, drinks, cakes, cookies , and more on offer.
The afternoon also saw performances from Glastonbury Town Band (2pm) and the Taunton Concert Band (3.45pm).
Visitors could check out the Jamie Squibb Motorcycle Stunt Show at 4.15pm and join the closing ceremony from 5.45pm
