Cheddar Vale Lions Club will hold their annual Duck Races on August Bank Holiday Monday (August 26).
The club is selling tickets via their website and through QR codes displayed on promotional posters.
A crowd of both regular attendees and new faces is expected to witness the spectacle of 1,000 ducks navigating the local river.
Last year's event resonated with a festive atmosphere, particularly among the youngsters in attendance.
The Duck Races serve a dual purpose; they raise funds for the Children’s Hospice South West and assist with the Lion Club's operations within the Cheddar Valley locality.
Of the 2,000 tickets available for sale, half are allotted per race.
A word of caution from the club is to buy them while stocks last, as they tend to sell out fast.
The club further assured the ducks will be checked and counted before the day to make sure they are in good condition for the races.
The Duck Races consistently prove to be a popular event, with the community consistently turning up in healthy numbers.
Lastly, the club also expressed its gratitude to the community for their support over the years, allowing them to keep supporting CHSW.
