CALLS are being made to the Somerset Council after an area near Taunton Library has been vandalised with graffiti and what seems to be excrement.
The Orchard Multi Storey car park, which is well used by many people heading into Taunton, has built up lots of damage in recent months.
The parking spot is seen as a go-to option due to its location and the fact that it is one of the cheapest places to park in Taunton, with parking from £1.30 for an hour.
A passer-by who lives in Taunton is “disgusted” and “embarrassed” by the vandalism in the shopping centre car park.
The individual, who chose not to be named, said: “It’s disgusting. I’ve lived in Taunton all my life and use this car park almost every day for work.
“It’s embarrassing. Something must be done.”

In an issued statement, a Somerset Council spokesperson said: “Somerset Council is aware of the graffiti and other mess in the Orchard Multi Storey car park.
“A cleaning-up process is underway.”
