A PERSON has been arrested on suspicion of a drug driving offence in Frome.
A number of vehicles were also seized for not having insurance, Avon and Somerset Police said, as officers and special constables were on patrol in the town.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Frome NPT working with Road Policing units targeting 'Fatal Five' offences.
“On Saturday, August 31, officers from the Roads Policing Unit, Officers from our local Frome neighbourhood policing team and a number of Special Constables were on patrol in Frome targeting drivers committing the 'Fatal Five' offences.
“One arrest was made on suspicion of a drug driving offence and a number of vehicles were seized for not having insurance.”
