For the 12th consecutive year, the PGA Professionals of Gloucestershire and Somerset will enjoy the support of Total Triumph Motorcycles as they embark on their Winter Series of golf across the two counties.
Neil Mossman quickly agreed that the longstanding association would remain in place once again and with a full fixture list arranged, he hopes it will be a successful winter for all on the golf course.
G&S PGA Chairman Andrew March said: ‘Neil is a pleasure to deal with and his enthusiasm and the encouragement that he shows to the G&S Professionals is second to none.
“Not often in any sport do you find such a loyal sponsor, so we know how lucky we are to receive this support from Total Triumph and be able to enhance the prize funds on offer for the players over the season.”
Mr Mossman said: ‘It is great to be associated with the local PGA Professionals and to be able to give them an opportunity to progress.”
“With two of the top three finishers in the 2024 National PGA Assistants Championship being regular competitors in these events it goes to show the high standard of golf and competition now on show throughout the winter.”
Total Triumph will remain as the title sponsor of the season ending 36-hole Strokeplay Championship which was won by Ross Langdon back in May after a mammoth 7 hole play-off at Lilley Brook.
Langdon also retained his Total Triumph Order of Merit title as well, but no doubt several Pro’s have plans to prevent the Brickhampton man making it a hat trick of titles over the coming months.
The season gets underway next week with the now traditional opening fixture of the season at Brean, the home course of March.
Almost 20 entries have been logged and it is hoped that numbers will rise even further as the season progresses.
Secretary Mark Singleton has worked hard to secure a variety of venues across the two counties, and everyone hopes that a drier Winter than last year is in store to allow as many events as possible to be completed.
