POLICE are urging Somerset residents to look out for fake Scottish £20 bank notes which were used to buy low value goods.
Avon and Somerset Police are investigating a number of offences that took place in the Porlock area where three men used the bank notes in shops in the area.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a number of offences in the Porlock area where a group of three males have entered local businesses and have passed counterfeit Scottish £20 bank notes for low value goods.
“We have included an image of some of the notes so that people know what to be looking out for.
“If you have experienced a similar incident or know someone that has, please let us know.”
