RESURFACING work on one of Taunton's busiest roads began this morning forcing it to close for two days.
The Obridge Viaduct is a well-used road in Taunton that many people use daily to get to the town centre, Hankridge and the M5.
Today, roadworks have been put in place by the Kiely Bros team to resurface the area on behalf of the Somerset Council.
The works will be ongoing starting today and are scheduled to finish tomorrow (October 6) without any delays.
The team understand this will affect people and said "We do our utmost to minimise disruption where possible."
One user spoke about the road closure online via Facebook: "It's bumper to bumper.
"I wouldn't bother going out."
Another person stated they had trouble with diverted traffic building up on Bossington Drive.
The online user said: "Chaos in Bossington Drive this morning. Looks like the traffic's diverted through there.
"Also, it's extra busy as lots of people have gone to Lyngford Park Surgery for their flu jabs.
"It (the traffic) made me a few minutes late."
