A Somerset-based brand growth agency has received B Corporation (B Corp) certification.
Teapot Creative Ltd, which specialises in design, web development, and marketing, announced it received it back in August.
The certification is a significant milestone in the company's 15-year journey.
B Corp certification is a globally recognised accolade, awarded to businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
It signifies a commitment to balancing purpose with profit, creating a positive impact for shareholders, employees, the community, and the environment.
Teapot Creative Ltd achieved an impressive B Impact Score of 94.4, significantly higher than the median score of 50.9 typically seen among businesses.
The B Impact Score measures a company's overall social and environmental performance, assessing factors such as governance, worker relations, community involvement, environmental impact, and customer engagement.
The high score reflects Teapot Creative's significant efforts and achievements in these areas.
The certification process involved a rigorous evaluation of the company's practices, including its governance structure and ethical transparency, impact on employees, contributions to the community, environmental stewardship, and approach to customer relations.
Teapot Creative achieved a high governance score of 19.6, indicating a strong emphasis on ethical practices, accountability, and transparency.
Lizzie Tottle, director and co-founder of Teapot, said: "Becoming a B Corp certified organisation has been incredibly rewarding.
"Sustainability, ethics and making a positive impact has always been at the heart of our business at Teapot.
"This certification is a fantastic way for us to gain recognition for those efforts which are deeply ingrained in our company’s ethos and validate them on a larger scale.
"It’s helped us sharpen our focus and connect with other amazing businesses that share our values.
"We’re excited to keep pushing forward and continue using our agency to make a meaningful difference."
