A STRETCH of the M5 is due to close overnight for the next two nights near Somerset as maintenance work is completed.
National Highways has announced they will complete 'concrete repairs' near junction 27 this week.
There are overnight closures on the M5 this week which motorists need to be aware of.
The M5 will be closed northbound for the next two nights between Junction 28 and Junction 26.
National Highways has announced the closures which will be put in place between 9pm and 6am tonight (October 23) and tomorrow (October 24) night.
Signed diversions via the B3181 and A38 are signposted.
The M5 will be fully closed northbound between Junction 28 (Cullompton) and Junction 26 (Wellington) between 8:30pm and 6am each night.
Traffic will be sent to the diverted routes via the A38 & B3181.
Speaking ahead of the planned closures, a spokesperson for National Highways said: "The M5 is closed northbound between Junction 28 and Junction 26 for structural works.
