More than 150 skating Santas took to the ice at Clarks Village, aiming to make history.
The Somerset shopping outlet hosted the World's Biggest Santa Skate to launch its very own Christmas ice rink.
It saw 155 guests don Santa suits and hit the ice, with the real Father Christmas making a special appearance.
Clarks Village is claiming a new record for the most ice-skating Santas and is celebrating what they call the "jolliest ice skate of all time".
The guests, who were gifted free tickets for the event, were treated to a visit from Santa himself.
They were also awarded special participation rosettes and on-the-spot certificates for the best fancy dress efforts.
The ice rink, featuring 500 square metres of real ice, will now be open daily until January 5, excluding Christmas Day.
It will host special sessions including 2-4-1 discounts, quiet sessions, parent and toddler skates, and disco nights.
The rink is wheelchair and buggy-friendly and is located on the lawn of the adjacent Alfred Gillett Trust, with a dedicated entrance within Clarks Village’s restaurant terrace.
Chris Davis, centre director of Clarks Village, said: "We’re thrilled to see our festive ice rink return to Clarks Village and to watch so many Santas have fun on the ice was spectacular.
"It was our pleasure to gift tickets to guests for this special occasion as we broke the record for the most ice-skating Santas – it was an incredible way to officially launch the return of our ice rink and the countdown to Christmas."
Amanda White and her eight-year-old daughter, Lily-May, were part of the World’s Biggest Santa Skate.
She said: "We really enjoyed it.
"We love coming to Clarks Village for the ice skating and we came last year too.
"Meeting Father Christmas was amazing.
"It was a lovely evening, the atmosphere was fantastic and everyone was having a great time getting into the Christmas spirit.
"We will definitely be booking to come back."
Tayo Evans, who attended with her husband and two children, said: "It was wonderful to see so many people all enjoying themselves and helping each other.
"It was well organised and everyone made a great Santa effort.
"We had a great time."
