Unit 2, which was formerly a chain of Carpet Right, could become a chain of The Food Warehouse, a supermarket run by Iceland, according to planning documents.
A planning application lodged with Somerset Council seeks to replace two internally illuminated vinyls/panels to totem poles and display two internally illuminated graphics to internal face of windows/doors.
The signs will be 'entrance' and 'exit' to the new store, as well as space on the retail park totem pole on the main road.
The Food Warehouse was set up in 2014 and has 150 stores nationwide, including four stores in Somerset in Street, Yeovil, Bridgwater and Worle (North Somerset).
The retailer sells frozen, fresh and dry produce as well as homeware items. It carries the same lines as Iceland as well as international brands.
New visitors to the store will also find a number of brands only available at The Food Warehouse (and Iceland) including Greggs, Ed's Diner, Slimming World, TGI Friday's, Del Monte and Harry Ramsden's.
