AN emergency incident has occurred in Chard, Somerset leading to multiple ambulances and an air ambulance responding and conveying a patient to hospital in Taunton.
On Tuesday, February 25 at around 2.13pm an emergency incident occurred in Chard Highstreet leading to the response of the South Western Ambulance Service and multiple ambulances attending the scene.
An air ambulance was also called which also came to the Chard Highstreet area.

The Chard Highstreet road was partially blocked due to the multiple ambulances taking up one lane with authorities helping with traffic management.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 14.13hrs on Tuesday, February 25 to an incident in Chard.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer and a first responder to the scene, we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
The air ambulance services have also been contacted for comment.
