Comedian Geoff Norcott is set to perform in Taunton as part of his latest tour, Basic Bloke 2 – There’s No Bloke Without Fire.
The show will be at the Brewhouse Theatre on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
This is Geoff's first tour under a Labour government, and he plans to share his thoughts on the current political climate.
He will discuss the new 'big beasts' of British politics, with criticisms for Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves, but a surprising positive outlook on Angela Rayner as a potential Prime Minister.
Geoff will also explore cultural shifts, expressing his concern about the right's stance on censorship and the idea of Britain becoming Trump's 51st state.
The tour will move beyond the themes of the original Basic Bloke, with Geoff delving into male mental health and the idea of checking in on friends.
He will also take advantage of the newfound tolerance towards jokes to share his thoughts on various topics, including bad parenting and people who wear dressing gowns beyond 9am.

He has also presented his own documentaries on BBC Two and has hosted his own radio specials on BBC Radio 4.
Geoff is also a published author and regular social commentator on shows like Politics Live, Peston, and Jeremy Vine, and his satirical commentary has been featured in national publications such as The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, and The Independent.
His previous national stand-up tours include Taking Liberties in 2019 and 2020, and I Blame The Parents in 2021 and 2022.
