AN incident occurred in Chard leading to emergency service response and a patient hospitalised in Taunton.
Reports of an emergency incident were reported just outside the Guildhall in Chard High Street just after 11pm on Saturday, March 15 leading to Avon and Somerset Police and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust responding at the scene.
According to a Chard resident, the incident involved a bus, they said: “It seemed to take about 30 minutes or so before the passengers could or were allowed off the bus.”
Following the incident a patient was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 23.04hrs on Saturday, March 15 to an incident in Chard.
“We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
The Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for comment.
