Sixty entries have been received for the Taunton Vale Point to Point event.
The traditional Easter Monday race meeting will take place at Cothelstone, a short distance from Bishops Lydeard.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on the day at £15, with cash or card options available.
Children under 16 can attend for free.
The first race is set to start at 1.30pm, with a dog show scheduled for 11am, alongside terrier racing and trade stands.
The Greenslade Taylor Hunt Members race, the opening event, has received five entries.
David Pipe, a well-known local National Hunt trainer, has First Lord de Cuet as the likely favourite.
He had a successful run at Buckfastleigh after a drop in class and is seen as a strong contender.
Teresa Clark's Ask Lileen and Ed Walker's Kakadu Park are also worth watching, having shown potential in previous races.
The Carter Jonas Maiden Conditions Race has attracted six entries.
Gig in the Park, who ran well at Chilfrome, is the likely favourite, while Gallant Geronimo and Lucy Mager's Sternpate also have a chance of success.
The Sleeps12.com Conditions race has 12 entries, including the remarkable Southfield Theatre, a winner of 19 points and a hunter chase.
However, he may choose to race elsewhere.
Josh Newman's Honestlyntrufully and Important Notice are expected to put up a strong fight, with the latter looking to resume his winning ways.
The Mixed Open, sponsored by S Morris, has 12 entries.
Former Aintree Foxhunter winner Famous Clermont is a strong contender, having won at the last Cothelstone meeting.
Dr Rhythm and Southfield Lily are also in good form and could pose a threat.
The Mitchell's Accountants Restricted race has 14 entries, with Will Biddick's Southfield Scope and Far Out West expected to perform well.
Trainer Josh Newman's Impakt St Georges and Ultimate Survivor are also seen as strong contenders.
The final race of the day, an all-aged maiden sponsored by Monument Fuels, has 12 entries.
Chris Barber's Top of Off and Chief O'Hara are expected to improve on their previous performances, while the unraced Electric City and Ballinouart are also worth watching.
The event promises an exciting day of racing, with a variety of other activities also on offer.
