A WOMAN has been hospitalised after being rescued from a fire at a property in Taunton yesterday.
The fire broke out in a residential property in Kilkenny Court and was first reported shortly after 9am on Wednesday, July 2.
Fire crews from Taunton, Bridgwater and Wellington rushed to the scene after they were called to a domestic alarm.

Once at the scene, they confirmed that this was a domestic fire with a person trapped inside the property.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Fire crews rescued one person from the property.”
The crews used two Breathing apparatus, one positive pressure ventilation fan, one hose reel jet, one gas monitor and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and left the scene shortly after 2pm.
In an update received today (July 3), Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a woman was taken to Taunton Musgrove Park Hospital by land ambulance.
A fire service spokesperson said: “A woman was taken to hospital by land ambulance.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 9.34hrs on Wednesday, July 2 to an incident in Taunton.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, and an operations officer to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
