A POPULAR rock band is set to go on a UK and European tour after being forced to cancel their Glastonbury Festival set just over two weeks ago.

Deftones, who were set to play on the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2025 this year, pulled out only a few hours away from their big moment at the Somerset festival.

Known for songs like 'Change (In the House of Flies)', 'Sextape', and 'Cherry Waves', the rock band were due to play on June 27 but pulled out due to illness, with Skepta turning up to play a 30-minute Glastonbury set.

Now, just over two weeks from having their set cancelled, the Grammy Award-winning Sacramento band Deftones are set to return to arenas across Europe and the UK in early 2026 in support of their forthcoming 10th studio album, private music, out August 22, 2025.

Alternative metal band Deftones said they were “devastated to be missing out on something we’ve been looking forward to for months” after it was announced they are not able to perform at Glastonbury Festival.

A statement on the band’s official account on Instagram, posted to their stories, said: “In an unfortunate development, an illness in the band is going to prevent us from playing Glastonbury tonight.

“We’re devastated to be missing out on something we’ve been looking forward to for months, but sometimes circumstances out of our control interfere with things we want to do the most.

“We really hope to return to Glastonbury soon, and as it currently stands, we plan on seeing you at Crystal Palace.”
