CHILDREN can enter the Taunton Flower Show for free with a paying adult, with plenty of child-friendly entertainment on offer this year in the arena and children's area.
Visitors will be treated to an array of four-legged and two-wheeled acts in the arena, including the BMX Show, Paws for Thought Dog Display team, and All Steps Formation Riding Team.
In the children’s area, performances from Magical Alex, a close-up magician, will be sure to entertain, along with a mini theatre and balloon modelling workshops. Face Painting is also available on both days, and all activities are free of charge.
Taunton Flower Show said it is "grateful" to Taunton Town Council for their support with keeping activities free within the show.
Girl Guide volunteers will be on-site with archery and axe-throwing activities, and there is a chance for kids to make their own mini garden. There will be a safe and discreet facility for parents to feed and change their babies and children, thanks to the Taunton Branch of the Royal College of Midwives.
The show "aims to provide a great day out for families by keeping the costs as low as possible".
Tiddlygigs will be on hand with their musical storytelling adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk and will be performing throughout the day.
