A PERSON has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital following a medical emergency incident that happened in Taunton on Friday (August 8).
At around 11am on Friday, August 8, a medical incident occurred in Wedlands, Taunton leading to two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, other medical personnel and the police rushing to the scene for additional support.
The air ambulance landed on the green directly behind Priorswood Primary School according to witnesses at the scene.
Following the emergency, a person has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11:09hrs on Friday, August 8, to an incident in Taunton. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, a first responder and a doctor to the scene.
“We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended to assist the ambulance service which was responding to a medical incident."
