A CAR wash in Taunton has breached multiple health and safety regulations.
Taunton Hand Car Wash LTD, which operates premises on Priory Bridge Road in Taunton, has breached five safety acts or regulations, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

The business was confirmed to have breached the following acts/regulations:

Because of these breaches, the Taunton business has been issued a prohibition notice.
A Prohibition Notice, often issued by authorities like the HSE or local councils, means that a specific activity that poses a serious and immediate risk to health or safety must stop immediately.
It's a more serious measure than an improvement notice, which allows time for corrections and requires the activity to cease until the risk is addressed and approved by the issuing authority.
Speaking via its website, a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) spokesperson spoke about the breaches in detail.
"You have workers engaged in work activities near live conductors that have not been maintained to prevent danger, as they have live conductors that are not covered by insulating material," reads the HSE website in relation to Taunton Hand Car Washes' breaches.
"They are working near live conductors, namely electrical sockets and distribution boards, that have not been maintained to prevent access to those live conductors."
