A rugby club has renamed its home ground following a new sponsorship deal.
Taunton RFC has renamed its Bathpool ground the Summerfield Stadium after securing a partnership with Taunton-based developer Summerfield.
The club, whose first team, Taunton Titans, competes in National League Two, has played at the Hyde Lane ground since 2001 and is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary.
James Holyday, group managing director for Summerfield, said: "We are immensely proud to see the Summerfield name associated with such a well-loved club.
"As loyal supporters, we admire the work the club does, encouraging so many people to take part in and watch this great sport, bringing people together."
Mr Holyday said the timing was especially meaningful.
He added: "With England also hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup as well as the club celebrating its 150th anniversary, it makes this partnership especially significant for us, cementing our longstanding relationship by becoming the naming rights partner."
Taunton RFC chairman John Wrelton welcomed the sponsorship, describing it as a sign of the club’s growing aspirations.
Mr Wrelton said: "This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the club.
"Having a respected local company like Summerfield Developments associated with Taunton RFC underlines the growing ambition of the club, both on and off the field.
"Together, we will continue to create a thriving environment for rugby at every level and ensure the Summerfield Stadium becomes a place our players, supporters, and community can be proud of."
The ground was previously known as Veritas Park.
