THE owners of a family-run restaurant in Dunster, Somerset, have shared their devastation after an electrical fire caused major damage to their kitchen.
In the early hours of the morning of Friday, September 5, Reeves Restaurant set alight after a tumble dryer caught on fire.
Fire crews from Taunton, Minehead and Williton Fire Stations were called to the scene at around 1am with the last update being made by Devon and Somerset Fire Service at around 8am.

The family living in the property managed to "escape" the flames with the help of the fire crews, although the property was severely damaged by both smoke and fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that overall, there was 100 per cent damage to the rear kitchen on the ground floor and the front kitchen.
There was 50 per cent smoke damage to the restaurant and 50 per cent fire damage to the first-floor living area.
The second floor also ended up with 25 per cent smoke damage.
A fire service spokesperson said: “There were no casualties, and the cause was believed accidental.”
The family have confirmed that the restaurant will not be reopening again for some time and are currently staying at the Luttrell Arms Hotel, which provided them with accommodation and food in support of their situation.
A spokesperson for Reeves Restaurant said: “We are absolutely devastated to report that we had an electrical fire in the early hours of this morning. It has caused quite a lot of smoke damage throughout and major damage to the kitchen.
“Fortunately, the Reeves family escaped unharmed.
“We will not be able to open for some time, but will keep you posted.
