Free Pentathlon Training Session
Taunton School is offering a free modern pentathlon training session for people interested in taking up the sport.
The session is open to those who attended the summer pentathlon camps in August.
The next session will take place on Thursday, September 18, from 6pm to 8pm, at Taunton School.

A Salute to Kate Bush
A tribute to Kate Bush is set to take place in Taunton this week.
The production, featuring award-winning tribute artist Lorrie Brown, will be at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on Friday, September 19, at 7:30pm.
The show, celebrating Bush's career, will feature hits such as Wuthering Heights, Babooskha, and Running Up That Hill.
Ms Brown, known for her vocal talent, is a recipient of the Kate Bush Award.
Tickets, priced at £19, are available online at tacchi-morris.com/kate-bush/#content but incur a £2.95 transaction fee.
The show lasts two hours, including an interval.

Explaining Being Pan to Nan
A stand-up comedy and poetry show exploring queer identity is coming to Taunton this weekend.
Explaining Being Pan to Nan is set to be performed at The Brewhouse on Friday, September 19, at 8pm.
The show unpacks explaining non-binary and pansexual identities to an 86-year-old grandmother through a mix of explicit and tender themes.
The performance is by P Burton-Morgan, a writer, director, and winner of the 2024 Ledbury Poetry Slam.
Tickets are priced at £12, with an age guidance of 16+ due to sexually explicit themes and language.

Purple Zeppelin
A tribute act performing the music of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin is coming to Taunton.
Purple Zeppelin will play at The Brewhouse on Saturday, September 20, at 7:30pm.
Tickets cost £31.50 and can be purchased at tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk/events/purple-zeppelin.
The show will feature more than 30 songs and includes costume changes.
The band emphasise entertainment in their shows, with Ritchie Blackmore’s on-stage antics, Jimmy Page’s twin-neck Guitar and Theremin, and a very special Violin Bow Solo!
Purple Zeppelin have previously featured in the BBC TV documentary The Joy of the Guitar Riff.
