A CONVENIENCE shop in Taunton is set to close and change this month (November 2025).
The Co-op store on Wellington New Road, Taunton, will close after its final day of service on Saturday, November 15, and later reopen as a completely new store.
Signage has been placed outside the store to reflect that it will be "transitioned" to a new retailer.

The sign reads: "Thank you for your loyalty, it's been a pleasure serving you.
"We're transitioning to a new retailer and will ensure a smooth handover. This store will close on 15 November at 8pm."
"Yeah, this co-op is closing," a staff member told the County Gazette.
"It is becoming a Costcutters."
The Co-operative Group does not own the Costcutters brand, but the two businesses do have a relationship.
Since May 2018, the Co-op has been the exclusive supplier to Costcutter Supermarkets Group. This agreement has allowed Costcutter stores to sell legitimate Co-op products in-store.
This Co-op supply agreement is set to continue until 2026.
