Residents at a dementia care home in Wellington have been enjoying regular visits to a nearby garden centre.
Camelot House and Lodge has developed a strong relationship with Blackdown Garden Centre, just a short distance across the road, thanks to its welcoming staff and sensory-rich environment.
Harriet Burraston, who leads the activities team at Camelot House and Lodge, said: "The garden centre is just across the road from us and they’re always so lovely to our residents when we visit.
"Our ladies and gents love looking at all the beautiful flowers, the tropical fish are great for sensory stimulation and of course, no trip is complete without a trip to the café for lunch or one of their amazing cakes."
The garden centre has also shown its support through donations.
Ms Burraston said: "The staff at Blackdown Garden Centre are really very generous neighbours who have previously donated Christmas trees, as well as gift cards for raffles and fetes, for which we are very grateful.
"It’s wonderful to have such support from a local business."
