The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is looking for new members of its council of governors.
The trust is asking for staff and people living in eligible constituencies across the South West to apply for the role.
This includes many places in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Swindon.
Governors help represent local communities within the trust.
They help shape the ambulance service's future and make sure SWASFT is accountable and responsive to those it serves.
Colin Weston, lead governor at SWASFT, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our staff and members of the community to get directly involved with our ambulance service.
"Our members and governors are at the heart of the Trust and play a vital role in shaping how we improve our services to meet the needs of the people we serve.
"It’s important that SWASFT hears those staff and community voices, and by standing as a governor in this year’s elections, you can make a real difference to your local ambulance service.

Nominations close on Wednesday, November 19.
After this date, the successful uncontested nominees will be announced.
If there is more than one nomination for a particular area, an election will be held.
The successful candidates will be confirmed on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

There is also an option for those who do not wish to stand as a governor to get involved.
They can become a member of the trust, receiving updates about the trust's work, access to health service discounts, and the opportunity to vote in future governor elections.
